Hosting a Raffle
From approval to payouts—here’s how hosting works.
1. Apply to become a host
Open Account and submit your ABN. We’ll review and approve eligible applications.
2. Connect Stripe
Create/connect your Stripe account for payouts. Ticket purchases are processed by Stripe on your connected host account (direct charges), so your raffle funds go to your Stripe balance and then pay out to your bank account based on your Stripe payout schedule.
Note: Stripe charges processing and (where applicable) payout/transfer fees. Fees are set by Stripe and are typically deducted so you receive the net amount. See Stripe pricing and Stripe Connect pricing.
3. Create a raffle
Use Host a Raffle to set name, ticket price, draw time, and venue details.
4. Draw winners (manual or scheduled)
Open My Raffles and use Draw Winner or Live Draw to draw each prize (Live Draw is recommended for mutli-prize raffles or when sharing screen with ticket holders as the spinning reel will be visible). If you enabled scheduled auto-draw, SnapDraw will draw automatically around the draw time.
After the first winner is drawn, ticket sales close automatically to keep the draw fair.
5. How winners are contacted (email)
When winners are confirmed, SnapDraw emails each winner with their prize and raffle details. The email Reply-To is set to the host email, so winners can contact you directly.
If Automatically confirm & notify winners is enabled (recommended), SnapDraw will automatically confirm/close the raffle and send winner emails once all prizes have been drawn (whether the draw was manual or scheduled).
6. Venue attendance raffles (manual confirmation required)
If you enabled Venue Attendance Required, winners must be present at the venue. In this mode, automatic confirmation/notifications are disabled.
Once you’ve verified winners at the venue, open Winners Management and use Confirm & Notify Winners to close the raffle and send the winner emails.
7. Where to find winner contact details
Open Winners Management from My Raffles. You’ll see each winner’s name and email, plus their mobile number if they opted in to share it.
From the Winners Management table you can also use quick actions like Call, Text, and Copy (when a mobile number is available).
